The incident took place in an establishment located on the access ramp to the port. The Generalitat Firefighters received the alert at 08:30 AM and five units were dispatched to the scene to manage the situation.
Four units from the Emergency Medical System (SEM) were also mobilized. They are attending to the injured worker, who will be transferred to Vall d’Hebron Hospital for further medical attention.
As explained by the firefighters, gas company technicians arrived at the area and managed to shut off the gas supply. The fire, which was concentrated in the establishment's porch, primarily affected some furniture elements.
