The Malgrat de Mar City Council has started the demolition of the three Municipal Services warehouses, which were destroyed by a major fire on November 19, at a cost of 60,014 euros.

The demolition work began last Monday, January 19, and is expected to last approximately three weeks. The company responsible for the execution is Excavacions Germans Casas SL, with a total budget of 60,014 euros.
The fire, which occurred on November 19, severely affected the facilities of the Public Works, Lighting, and Green Spaces departments. The warehouses, located on Francesc Sanllehí street in the Can Patalina industrial area, were completely destroyed.

Although no personal injuries were recorded, the flames completely destroyed the storage facilities, as well as a large quantity of material assets, including vehicles, machinery, and urban furniture.

According to the City Council, seventeen Fire Department units were required to control the blaze, a task that lasted more than five hours. The current demolition marks the first official step towards the recovery of the lost municipal spaces and resources.
