Malgrat de Mar has launched the campaign "A Malgrat de Mar, reciclem + i millor" to inform citizens about the new waste collection model, which includes an information office, a website, and street tents.

The Malgrat de Mar City Council has launched the campaign "A Malgrat de Mar, reciclem + i millor" to guide citizens through the implementation of the new waste collection model. This initiative combines various information channels and in-person assistance to ensure every resident understands their corresponding collection system, how it works, and what actions are required.
The website reciclemmesimillor.cat serves as the central information hub, detailing the three collection systems (door-to-door, community containers, and smart containers), new services, schedules, information sessions, and frequently asked questions. Information will be continuously updated with service developments.
Additionally, a Punt d’Atenció + i millor (Information Point + and better) has been established at Carrer Ramon Turró, 29, corner of Carrer Marià Cubí. This physical space provides in-person support to resolve doubts about waste separation, explain service operations, identify the system assigned to each household, and manage related incidents. The opening hours are Monday to Friday from 10 AM to 5 PM, and Saturdays from 10 AM to 1 PM. Contact is also available via phone and WhatsApp at 671 513 325.
The campaign also extends to the streets with an itinerant information tent that will tour various locations in the municipality throughout October. Environmental educators will be available to explain the changes, answer questions, and inform residents about the new collection systems. Informative totems have also been installed throughout the town.
During October and December, public information sessions will be held at the Centre Cultural de Malgrat de Mar, focusing specifically on the door-to-door, community container, and smart container systems. Some sessions will be accessible online, and advance booking is recommended.
The campaign coincides with the introduction of new services, including a mobile recycling point (deixalleria mòbil) and an expanded collection service for bulky waste, pruning, and textiles, which can be requested free of charge.
The implementation of the new model will be gradual, with specific information provided to each household regarding their assigned system, necessary materials, and the service start date.
