The Music Festival program resumes today, Friday, after cancellations yesterday, Thursday, due to the weather situation. The planned performances and parades will take place today, tomorrow Saturday, and Sunday. This morning, the City Council hosted an institutional reception for the participating groups.
Today's events began at midday with an exhibition by the majorettes group in Josep Anselm Clavé square, followed by a parade through the streets and two more performances in the same square and at the Church square (Plaça de l'Església).
In the afternoon, there will be a parade of folk groups along the Maritime Promenade (Passeig Marítim), with subsequent performances at the L'Àncora square (Plaça de l'Àncora) starting at 4 PM. Later, at 5:30 PM, a parade of bands and majorettes will proceed along the Maritime Promenade to L'Àncora square, where performances will commence at 6 PM.
Tomorrow, Saturday, performances will be held at L'Àncora square: at 10:30 AM featuring folk groups, and from 5 PM onwards with all music bands and majorettes.
The festival will conclude on Sunday with an exhibition by all folk groups at 5:30 PM in L'Àncora square.
This edition features participating groups from Mexico, Poland, Malta, Bulgaria, Austria, Italy, Ireland, and Lithuania. This morning, the first deputy mayor, Jordi Farré, officially welcomed them at the Cultural Center.
