Spanish National Police seek help identifying woman found dead in Malgrat de Mar in 2003

The victim, aged between 25 and 30, was found with injuries, and evidence suggests she might be of Bengali origin.

The National Police has issued a public appeal for information to identify a woman found dead on a rural road in Malgrat de Mar on November 3, 2003, a cold case that has remained open for over two decades.

The incident dates back to November 3, 2003, when the victim was found lifeless on a rural road in the Maresme municipality. The initial investigation determined that the woman had several injuries and had been deceased for approximately twelve hours.
The woman, whose remains have not been claimed in over two decades, was between 25 and 30 years old and measured around 1.60 meters. She had black hair, brown eyes, and fair but tanned skin. When found, she was wearing a crimson wool sweater and blue denim trousers.
One of the most important elements for identification is a small tattoo featuring the Om symbol on the back of her right hand and a vaccination mark on her left arm. She was also wearing several metallic and colored bracelets on her wrist, along with black threads on her feet and toes.
Based on these details, National Police investigators believe the woman may be of Bengali origin. Public collaboration is requested to provide any information that could help close this long-standing unidentified person case.
