The hard-fought victory for Ibersol CBT at the Boet Mataró court (81-91) allows the Tarragona side to maintain third place in the Tercera FEB standings. The Maresme team, despite being second to last, put up a fight thanks to their three-point shooting accuracy, forcing Toni Larramona's men to decide the match only in the final two minutes.
The victory allows the CBT to remain in third position for another week and keep their immediate pursuers two wins away from occupying one of the four spots that grant access to the promotion play-off.
After a start marked by turnovers that gave the initiative to the hosts (8-5, minute 4), CBT reacted, led by Buscail and Senghor, closing the first quarter with a tight 21-24. The Tarragona team achieved a 10-point lead in the second period, but Mataró cut the deficit to 39-44 at halftime.
The third quarter was particularly intense, with Mataró connecting three consecutive three-pointers that tied the score at 65-67. Despite the local comeback at the start of the final period (67-67), a three-pointer by Stefanuto and the interior play between Loras and Buscail were decisive. A three-pointer from Adri Duch and a dunk by David Loras sealed the game at 76-89 with a minute and a half remaining.
