Due to a technical incident affecting the processing of in-person documentation at the Citizen Service Office (OAC) and the municipal procedures portal, the Montgat City Council has decided to extend the deadline for submitting subsidy applications for the 2nd 2026 call. This extension also applies to other deadlines for general procedures with the City Council, setting the new cutoff date as October 9, 2026.
The announced subsidy lines cover various areas. In Social Action, financial aid is available to cover rent or mortgage expenses for primary residences, with a budget of €52,000. In Sports, there are grants for families with children aged 4 to 12 to finance summer camps (€4,100) and subsidies for individual athletes from Montgat (€5,000).
Regarding Education, individual grants are allocated for textbook expenses, educational materials, school trips, and extracurricular activities (€43,500). Aid is also included to promote the enrollment of children aged 0 to 3 in nursery schools (€5,500), support for dining services (€10,000), and scholarships for the best high school research projects (€2,500).
In Economic Promotion, €12,600 has been allocated to subsidies for new businesses advised by Montgat's Economic Promotion Service. Entities also receive support, with €28,000 for sports practice and promotion, €12,000 for educational and sports projects by sports entities, and €45,000 for parent associations (AFA) of public schools.
Finally, in the area of Energy Rehabilitation, aid of €1,500 is available for actions to improve energy efficiency in existing buildings, aimed at individuals, legal entities, and neighborhood communities.
