The Municipal Archive of Sant Andreu de Llavaneres has received an initial donation of documents from the Matas family, spanning from 1558 to 1909, which will allow for a deeper understanding of the lineage and the town's history.

The collection includes six parchments from the 16th and 17th centuries and will be progressively supplemented with new contributions. The Matas family originated in Sant Agnès de Malanyanes, from where Bartomeu Matas settled in Sant Andreu de Llavaneres around 1596.
The Municipal Archive thanks the Matas family for this contribution, which helps preserve local historical memory. The Town Council encourages citizens who possess documents of interest about Sant Andreu de Llavaneres to donate them to the Municipal Archive.
