The Teià City Council has asked citizens to exercise extreme caution this Tuesday, September 29, due to the forecast of an episode of intense rainfall. Civil Protection has activated the Special Plan for Flood Emergencies of Catalonia (INUNCAT) in alert phase due to the possibility of particularly heavy precipitation in the coastal and pre-coastal regions.
According to meteorological forecasts, between midnight and midday on Tuesday, showers could be intense, persistent, and accompanied by thunderstorms and strong gusts of wind. Locally, significant rainfall accumulations could be recorded.
Given this situation, it is recommended to avoid unnecessary travel during the most intense periods, not to park or drive through streams, torrents, floodable underpasses, or low-lying areas. It is also advised not to attempt to cross points where water has accumulated and to follow the instructions of emergency services at all times.
