Climber rescued after nine-meter fall in Ulldecona

On Sunday afternoon, Catalan Firefighters rescued a climber who fell approximately nine meters in Ulldecona, specifically in the Coves de l'Ermita de la Pietat climbing sector.

The rescue operation, which began at 17:27, involved five fire crews, a MAER helicopter with the GRAE mountain rescue unit, SEM medical teams, and local police forces.
The victim was stabilized on-site before being airlifted to the Joan XXIII University Hospital in Tarragona. Local authorities have praised the rapid coordination of the emergency services involved in the operation.
