This decision, made yesterday, has found no alternatives within the party, and formal ratification by the membership is expected. The candidate previously led the project in the 2023 elections, securing seven councilors, although one member later moved to the non-attached group and was confirmed as a candidate for Aliança Catalana.
“"The presence of this new actor in municipal political life could affect Junts, but also the other two parties with representation in the council, such as ERC and Som Amposta."
Beyond speculations about the political future, the candidate's priority is to work towards achieving an absolute majority and surpassing the current mayor. The strategy is based on experience and the validity of an electoral program that maintains three main axes: Health, Security, and Services.
“"In none of these areas does the ERC government boast about how well it's doing, but in reality, it hasn't managed to move forward after more than three years in office. The city is now worse than ever."
For the compilation of the electoral list, the candidate has expressed his intention to listen to the members of the municipal group, as well as the voices of the party and its members.
