This action continues the previously executed works to improve the pavement and is part of the municipal government's strategy to dignify and enhance public spaces in La Ràpita.
The works are expected to last approximately 8 weeks and will mainly consist of replacing the road surface, aiming to improve the condition of the road, reinforce safety, and offer a better image of the square during daily use and events.
The intervention addresses a historical problem, as the pavement cobblestones frequently lifted, causing inconvenience for pedestrians and high maintenance costs. The new pavement is anti-slip, repellent to fuel and oils, and reduces heat accumulation.
During the construction period, Sant Francesc Street will change its direction of circulation to uphill, and Freginals Street will change to downhill.
The La Ràpita City Council asks for understanding from residents and businesses in the area regarding any temporary inconvenience that may arise from the development of the works.
