The La Ràpita town council has officially postponed the 2026 Carnival celebrations to February 20th and 21st following severe wind forecasts in the Montsià region.

Local resident Ainhoa Sancho Giner has been chosen as the Carnival Queen. Although the festivities were originally set to begin on February 13th, the entire program has been moved to the following weekend to ensure public safety during the outdoor parades.

"I want people to go out, wear costumes without limits, and keep the party going until dawn."
