Les Cases d’Alcanar welcome the summer with the celebration of the XIV Gastronomic Days of the Langoustine, an event taking place from May 22nd to June 21st, featuring nine local establishments.

From May 22nd to June 21st, Les Cases d’Alcanar will be the hub for one of the most anticipated gastronomic events in the municipality: the XIV Gastronomic Days of the Langoustine. This initiative, organized by the Alcanar Town Council and the local gastronomic collective, highlights the area's star product.
A total of nine restaurants will participate in this edition: Can Manel, Casa Esquerra, Casa Eugenio, Casa Ramon, Casa Rufo, La Marinada, Les Palmeres, Lo Taulell de M. José, and Magda Espai Gastronòmic. Each will offer special menus where the langoustine will be the main star, blending the quality of local produce with the creativity of local chefs.
"Once again, through these days, we celebrate and showcase the excellence of our products and the potential of our gastronomy, which enjoys growing prestige throughout the region," stated the mayor of Alcanar, Marc Chavalera, inviting everyone to enjoy an event that solidifies the municipality as a gastronomic reference.
For her part, the councilor for Tourism and Les Cases, Mar Sancho, emphasized that "the langoustine is an emblem of our municipality and a way to discover the quality and authenticity of our cuisine." She added that the days are a "great asset for revitalizing the commercial and tourist fabric" and that reaching the XIV edition is a "source of pride."
These days also symbolically mark the beginning of the summer season in Alcanar and Les Cases d’Alcanar, preparing the municipality for the high tourist season. Furthermore, in a year where Alcanar hosted the Repsol Gala of the Spring Soletes, the Langoustine Days reaffirm its position as a gastronomic destination with its own identity.
