Ulldecona City Council has formalized its second application for the 2025-2029 Pla de Barris i Viles program from the Generalitat de Catalunya, aiming to transform the old town.

The municipal proposal, which amounts to a budget of 12.5 million euros, includes a total of 35 interventions divided into three strategic axes. These actions seek urban regeneration, ecological transition, and the strengthening of social cohesion in the municipality.
The plan includes 13 actions focused on housing rehabilitation and energy efficiency, 9 projects dedicated to green infrastructure and circular economy, and 13 initiatives focused on the socio-community sphere, such as health, education, and equality.
In addition to this bid, the local government noted that other investments are underway, such as improvements to the Valldepins industrial estate, street renovations, and upgrades to educational and sports facilities, reaffirming its commitment to the town's strategic development.
