The Museu de la Mar de l’Ebre (Ebro Sea Museum) in la Ràpita begins a new phase in 2026 under the direction of Àngel Pascual, aiming to become a living space representing the maritime and historical identity of the Ebro coast.

The historian from la Ràpita, Àngel Pascual, who graduated in History from the Universitat Rovira i Virgili, has been linked to the museum for over eight years and has served as the technical manager since 2018.
His proposal focuses on rigorous scientific narratives, presented in an accessible and experiential manner, with the goal of connecting with diverse audiences and making citizens feel reflected in their past.
The new director advocates for connecting the facility with the environment, landscape, and natural surroundings, integrating technology, educational activities, and a stable cultural program.
In the medium term, the primary objective is for the Museu de la Mar de l’Ebre to be integrated into the Registre de Museus de la Generalitat (Generalitat Museum Register), which will consolidate its future projection.
This new phase will be implemented through the 2026 program, which already includes temporary art and photography exhibitions, conferences, dramatized visits, and educational activities linked to the local calendar.
