Athletes Genís Balagueró and Blai Olarte, from the Pedala.cat club in Balaguer, competed last weekend in the Catalan U20 Athletics Championship, participating in the 200m and 400m sprint events.

In the 200-meter dash, Genís Balagueró finished 13th in Catalonia with a time of 24.03 seconds. Despite suffering an injury three weeks prior and facing two weeks of inactivity, he managed to finish just two hundredths of a second away from his personal best.
Meanwhile, Blai Olarte took 10th place in the 400-meter final. Olarte has shown remarkable progress over the last month, dropping his time from 55.31 to a final record of 53.29 seconds during the championship race.
The Balaguer-based club expressed great satisfaction with the daily effort and the continuous desire for improvement shown by the entire team during these high-level regional competitions.
