The alert was received at 16:23. According to initial reports, the flames originated in an agricultural area near a farmhouse, from where they spread to the surrounding forest mass.
The firefighting operation consists of 25 ground units and 4 aerial assets. Emergency teams are focusing on water drops on the flanks of the fire to prevent it from advancing towards the Comiols axis.
Local ADF units and farmers are also assisting in the efforts, after the Isona i Conca Dellà City Council requested agricultural machinery to help contain the fire's progress.
