Josep Pàmies, an activist from Balaguer, took part this Saturday in a controversial conference titled Vaccine Damage: Autism and Rare Diseases held in Ciudad Real, Spain.

A local court in Ciudad Real rejected a request for a precautionary suspension of the event. The judge ruled that there was insufficient criminal grounds at this stage to stop the meeting, although the court clarified this does not imply an endorsement of the anti-scientific content presented.
Medical organizations, including the Spanish Association of Vaccinology, have expressed strong opposition to the event. They warned that spreading misinformation about vaccine safety poses a significant threat to public health and criticized the promotion of pseudotherapies.

"We will remain vigilant regarding any complaints or information received in relation to this event."
