According to the Catalan Transit Service, the incident occurred shortly before 9:45 AM at kilometer point 2.6. While the truck driver was unharmed, the motorcyclist died at the scene. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The impact caused the truck's fuel tank to rupture, leading to a significant leak and a subsequent fire that engulfed both vehicles. Seven Firefighters of the Generalitat crews were deployed to extinguish the blaze and manage the diesel spill on the road.

Emergency services responded with five Mossos d'Esquadra patrols, two ambulances, and a medicalized helicopter from the Emergency Medical System (SEM). Despite their efforts, the victim's life could not be saved.
