The town of Ponts celebrated its famous Ranxo festival this Tuesday, preparing 12,000 portions of the traditional stew to mark the end of Carnival in the Noguera region.

A total of 59 large cauldrons were set to boil at six in the morning to prepare the recipe, which includes chicken, black sausage, beans, potatoes, and pasta. The meal is distributed for free among the thousands of attendees who gather for the town's most popular event.
This year's edition featured the return of the Lali-lali, a local tradition where a group visits residents' homes on the eve of the festival to collect ingredients for the communal meal, strengthening the community spirit of the celebration.
