The demonstration, organized by the Plataforma Pobles Vius, took place this Sunday at kilometer 140 of the road. Protesters are calling for local administrations to withhold authorization for the facility's construction.

This action follows the platform's appeal against the extension of a 4.5 million euro subsidy. This aid had been granted to the company La Sentiu Bioenergy SLU and was due to be executed before April 30.

Opponents of the project highlight the significant environmental and territorial impact the plant could generate, emphasizing the lack of consensus among local residents. Most neighbors near the plant's proposed location have not signed the necessary agreement for the expansion of the access road that would connect to the main highway and the gas pipeline.
