The Catalan railway network will face its fourth consecutive week with more than 200 temporary speed limits, according to the latest technical reports from the infrastructure manager Adif.

A total of 202 sections will have speed restrictions starting next Monday, covering 176.8 kilometers of the network. While 16 restrictions were removed this week, new ones have appeared in inland lines, particularly affecting the RL4 and R3 services.
In the Selva region, conditions have improved between Maçanet-Massanes and Blanes, where most limits were lifted. However, commuters in Lleida and Bages face new delays, with trains forced to slow down to 50 km/h for several kilometers between Calaf and Manresa.

"The network will be practically operational by these dates and in April all temporary limitations will have been eliminated."

Currently, Barcelona remains the most affected province with 90 restricted sections, followed by Tarragona with 65 and Girona with 30. Some of these restrictions have been in place for years despite government promises of modernization.
