The Manlleu Summer Festival will kick off on Tuesday, August 11, with the opening speech by Montserrat Muns, Mercè Forner, and Mariona Mas, owners of Calçats Muns. The event, held at Jardins de Can Puget at 8 PM, will be broadcast live and interpreted in Catalan Sign Language.
The program continues on Wednesday, August 12, with a parade of giants and 'capgrossos' accompanied by the Xaranga Tocabemolls, concluding at Plaça Fra Bernadí. On Thursday, August 13, children can enjoy the show "El monstre del jardí!" at the Embarcador del Passeig del Ter, followed by a concert with the Orquestra Venus at Plaça Fra Bernadí.
Friday, August 14, will be marked by the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Festa del Serpent de Manlleu, featuring a walk, theatrical readings, workshops, food trucks, and the Serpent show with MON DJ and the Salt del Diamant.
Saturday, August 15, will host the 49th Popular Athletic Race in the morning, followed by a solemn mass at the Church of Santa Maria, presided over by Mn. Joan Prat Jorbà. The afternoon will include a concert-vermouth with Sawa Sawa, a sea shanty concert with Clara Bonfill, and a sardana performance by Cobla La Flama de Farners.
Sunday, August 16, the final day, begins with 'bicibarris' (bike tour) through the neighborhoods. The afternoon features the Sexenni concert and a closing performance by Guillem Romà. The festival concludes with fire events, including verses by Diables i Tabaleres Els Serpents de Manlleu and a 'correfoc' (fire run).
Additional activities include guided tours at the Museu del Ter, the "L'Esperit del Ter" exhibition, the play "Claustre. L'educació mata" at the Teatre Municipal, and fairground attractions running from August 7 to 16.
The poster for the 2026 Summer Festival was designed by Miquel Valle, who created the letter "M" to symbolize the Ter River, old factories, and the local flora and fauna.
