Nearly forty people attended the awards ceremony for the Manlleu Manga Contest, held at the Can Puget exhibition hall. This year's competition, which promotes the talent of children, youth, and adults passionate about manga, focused on the theme "Sant Joan's Night: Fire and Mysticism".
The submitted artworks were noted for their high artistic quality, featuring illustrations centered on magic and symbolism. All creations were projected during the event.
In the children's category, the first prize went to Tariq Daunis El-Atmani, followed by Martí Gascons and Nizar El Khamlichi. In the youth category, Oriol Garcia took first place, while Elisabeth Armenteros and Aitor Rodríguez secured second and third positions, respectively. For the adult category, Judit Segura retained her title from the previous year, with Idoia Oliver (second) and Lara Alejandre (third) completing the podium.
The winners received manga and anime bundles, tickets to Manga BCN, drawing materials, and other gifts. Additionally, the top three adult category finishers received cash prizes: 150 euros for Segura, 100 euros for Oliver, and 50 euros for Alejandre.
The awards were made possible through contributions from Norma Editorial, Panini Cómics, Milky Way Ediciones, FICOMIC, Vicenç Piera, and Kritik Còmics.
