Martinelia Manlleu now knows the teams it will face in the first phase of the WSE Women's Champions League. The squad coached by Maria Díez will compete against Fraga, Palau de Plegamans, Bigues-i-Riells, and Vila-sana in a tournament that will demand the highest level from the Manlleu players.
Although the matches will not involve long trips away from Catalonia, the first two fixtures of the phase will be played away from home against Fraga and Palau, considered two of Europe's top teams. The competition for Díez's team will conclude with two consecutive home games at the Municipal against Bigues i Riells and Vila-sana, which will be decisive for their future in the European championship.
The club's youth system has also seen recent success. Players Clàudia Domènech and Ona Graells became European champions with the Spanish U-17 team, after defeating Portugal 3-0.
