On the occasion of World Occupational Therapy Day, Cercle SiS, CHV-FHSC, highlights the work of its fifteen occupational therapists who strive to promote people's autonomy and quality of life across various care settings.

On the occasion of World Occupational Therapy Day, celebrated on October 27th, Cercle SiS, CHV-FHSC, emphasizes the work of its professionals. They operate with a person-centered approach, enabling children, adults, and the elderly to maintain or regain their autonomy and participate in daily life activities.
Occupational therapy is grounded in questions like "What do you want to do?" and "How do you want to do it?". Instead of focusing solely on illness, they listen to individuals to understand which daily activities give meaning to their lives, thereby promoting their autonomy, participation, and dignity.
The interventions of occupational therapists are diverse: in mental health, they conduct individual and group workshops, assess occupational and sensory capacities, adapt environments, and collaborate with families and schools. In physical rehabilitation, they aid in regaining daily functionality, create custom splints and orthoses, and advise on assistive devices. In residential care, they foster the autonomy of older adults, run cognitive and fine motor stimulation workshops, and provide guidance on feeding and swallowing.
These professionals also work in homes, schools, and community settings, always in coordination with other healthcare providers. Currently, Cercle SiS employs fifteen occupational therapists who contribute to a comprehensive and interdisciplinary care model.
