Seven Central Catalonia restaurants awarded 2026 Michelin Guide plaques

CaixaBank hosts an awards ceremony in Girona for recommended establishments from Osona, Bages, Berguedà, and Moianès.

CaixaBank presented the 2026 Michelin Guide plaques to seven restaurants from Central Catalonia this Monday during a ceremony at the Girona Auditorium attended by 200 industry representatives.

The recognized establishments in the Osona region include L'Auró (Orís), Mas Albereda (Sant Julià de Vilatorta), Torre Simón (Tona), Boccatti (Vic), and VIA (Vic). Additionally, Terra in Berga and Les Voltes de Sant Sebastià in Moià received their official accreditation.

Chef Joel Castanyé from La Boscana shared insights on culinary creativity and local products. Catalonia currently hosts 151 Michelin-recommended restaurants, accounting for 19.3% of the total selection in Spain, spread across 76 different municipalities.
