The industrial heritage of Sant Boi de Lluçanès is defined by the Can Ballús factory, a textile center founded during the Second Spanish Republic that remains active today.

Founded in 1933 by Dr. Pere Pont i Coll and Mr. Fatjó, the company was originally known as Manufacturas Pont i Fatjó. Located in the Pujols estate, it became a social pillar for the village, even providing childcare services for working mothers during the Spanish Civil War.
In 1963, Enric Ballús i Vilaseca took over the business, introducing advanced Sulzer machinery. A milestone occurred in 1988 when the entire staff traveled to Rome for an audience with Pope John Paul II. Since 2012, the factory has been part of the BekaertDeslee multinational group.
