The three protagonists from Calçats Muns, representing three generations of the family business, will officially open the Manlleu 2026 Festa Major.

Montserrat Muns, Mercè Forner, and Mariona Mas, representing three generations of Calçats Muns, will deliver the inaugural speech for Manlleu's 2026 Festa Major. The event will take place this afternoon, starting at eight o'clock, in the Jardins de Can Puget.
The speech can be followed live via the Youtube channel of Ràdio Manlleu, the local radio station which will also broadcast the event.
The three speakers are key figures in the history of Calçats Muns, a Manlleu shop with roots dating back to 1940. The business, which has served numerous residents of the town, began as a workshop for custom-made shoes and repairs on Sant Joan promenade, later moving to Pont street.
The shop has evolved over the decades. The incorporation of the third generation, with Mercè Forner, marked a period of expansion, turning the establishment into a benchmark in the Osona region by offering international brands and adapting to new trends. Currently, Mariona Mas represents the future of the business, bringing new visions and trends.

"The three protagonists will recount anecdotes and the changes they have witnessed in the city."
