The Catalan Government agreement allocates an investment of €5,003,636.02 for the construction of the new center, which is currently in the project awarding phase. The winning design from the public tender is expected to be announced during the first quarter of 2026.
This action addresses a long-standing demand from the educational community, as the current El Roure Gros school building was affected by the detection of aluminous cement in its structure. In the meantime, constant monitoring is carried out to ensure student safety.
The new building is designed to house a single-line school, featuring 3 infant classrooms and 6 primary classrooms, in addition to a gym and dining hall.
The plot of land, ceded by the Santa Eulàlia de Riuprimer City Council, covers an area of 5,306 m². The architectural project will incorporate proposals resulting from the participatory process involving the management team, teachers, and families, focusing on spacious circulation areas, connected classrooms, and a courtyard designed as an educational space.
