The new center, named Els Arenys, has the primary objective of promoting knowledge about the nature of Pallars Jussà and raising awareness about the importance of environmental care. It is situated at the Centre de Treball de la Conca de Vilamitjana, in the municipality of Tremp.

The activities to be carried out will focus on forests, biomass (natural materials and waste used for energy production), protected animals and plants, and the restoration of natural spaces. Biomass, for instance, is explained as a resource for generating thermal or electrical energy.

The Tremp City Council has ceded municipal land for the center's development. Among the spaces that are part of Els Arenys are the font de la Verneda, the bassa dels Arenys, the Verneda, the Noguera Pallaresa river, and the Pla de Palau, all noted for their rich plant and animal life.

The activities are designed for schools, educational centers, organizations, and the general public. Political representatives and various local entities attended the inauguration ceremony, gaining firsthand knowledge of the center's facilities and projects.
