The Spanish Government's sub-delegate in Lleida, José Crespín, visited Pallars Jussà to learn about the municipality's needs and its historical and cultural heritage conservation projects.

The Spanish Government's sub-delegate in Lleida, José Crespín, visited Pallars Jussà this Tuesday, touring the municipality of Castell de Mur. Accompanied by the mayor, Miquel López, the visit aimed to gain firsthand knowledge of the area's reality and needs, as well as various development and conservation projects for its historical and cultural heritage.
During the visit, the delegate toured different sites, including the monumental complex of Mur, comprising the castle and the collegiate church of Santa Maria de Mur. This exceptional testimony to political, military, and religious organization during the Middle Ages represents one of the main heritage and tourist attractions of Pallars Jussà.
Crespín emphasized the importance of preserving and valuing this historical legacy "as an element of identity, territorial cohesion, and also as a driver of opportunities for rural municipalities." He was briefed on the rehabilitation work for the collegiate church of Santa Maria de Mur and the Molí d’Oli de Guàrdia.
During the day, he also received information about the environmental improvement project at the Terradets dam, aimed at ensuring the river's ecological flow. This initiative, developed by Endesa, benefits from a grant of 195,795 euros from the Institute for Diversification and Energy Saving (IDAE).
The visit concluded in Tremp, coinciding with the deployment of the National Police's Integral Documentation Vehicle (VIDOC). This mobile service facilitates the immediate issuance and renewal of national identity documents (DNI) and passports, eliminating the need to travel to police stations. On this Tuesday alone, approximately fifty documents were issued to residents of Tremp and nearby municipalities.
