The march began at 11:30 AM at the Train Station and grew as it moved through the town center. Protesters expressed frustration over the lack of political dialogue regarding the new model, which officially started last Thursday.
“"Governing is not ordering; governing is listening to everyone."
At Plaça de la Pedrera, organizers read a manifesto stating they do not oppose recycling but rather the unilateral imposition of the service. The movement has already collected over 1,100 signatures and filed a legal appeal against the measure.
The Council President, Ramon Jordana, defended the change as necessary to meet European recycling targets of 60% by 2030. Residents warned they will remain in a state of active citizenship surveillance.
