The Sant Esteve de la Sarga Town Council has issued an urgent plea for help to regional authorities following a landslide on the LV-9124 road, which has blocked access from the N-230 for two weeks.

A technical report by the Cartographic and Geological Institute of Catalonia (ICGC) has confirmed severe ground instability at Barranc Gros. Mayor Jordi Navarra warned that the municipality lacks the financial and technical means to resolve the situation without external funding.

"We do not have the technical, economic, or personnel means to deal with a landslide of these characteristics."

The closure significantly impacts residents of La Clua and Alsamora, while also threatening the local economy. The road is the primary gateway to the Mont-rebei gorge, the most visited tourist site in the Pallars Jussà region, attracting over 54,000 people last year.
