The Pallars Jussà County Council hired three migrants in an irregular administrative situation this February through the Work and Training program to support environmental and maintenance services.

The three hired individuals, originally from Morocco, Colombia, and Peru, joined the ACOL 2025 initiative. This program targets non-EU migrants who have lived in the territory for over two years without legal status.
The new employees will work as public servants, focusing on environmental tasks during the transition to a new waste collection system, as well as maintaining the facilities of the County Council.

"This line is an effective tool to facilitate the integration of migrants, promote social cohesion, and contribute to filling necessary jobs."

Ramon Jordana · President of the Pallars Jussà County Council
The project is funded with 90,744.18 euros by the Public Employment Service of Catalonia (SOC), the European Social Fund Plus, and the Ministry of Labor.
