The president of the Diputació de Lleida, Joan Talarn, announced on Sunday a 310,000 euro investment, combining provincial and state funds, to modernize the Aramunt Oil Mill in Conca de Dalt.

The contribution from the Diputació de Lleida amounts to 150,000 euros, which is added to the 160,000 euros allocated by the Ministry for Ecological Transition of the Spanish government. The announcement was made during Talarn's visit to the 3rd Pyrenean Oil Fair of Aramunt, held this past weekend.

"The contribution is not the result of a passing or casual event, but responds to the provincial entity's desire to boost the economic development of the territory, linked to local agri-food production."

The planned improvements at the Aramunt Oil Mill include the installation of new machinery, adapted to current quality standards, and the refurbishment of the entrance and access area. These renovation and improvement actions will allow for increased mountain oil production.

"The investment that the Oil Mill will receive represents a unique opportunity for the region and the territory, because having a modern Oil Mill adapted to the needs of producers will favor the economic growth of the area."

Marc Sans · Mayor of Conca de Dalt
The 3rd Pyrenean Oil Fair, inaugurated by the Minister of Agriculture Òscar Ordeig, consolidated Aramunt as a reference point for the mountain olive oil sector. The event combined technical sessions, such as a talk on automatic olive quality detection using AI, with popular and family activities.
