From June 12th to 14th, Talarn will transform into the capital of Pyrenean Wine for its 14th fair. This event aims to showcase local produce, the quality of mountain wines, and the deep connection between the Pyrenean territory and wine culture.
Over three days, the town will host a variety of activities for diverse audiences, including guided tastings, food and wine pairings, talks, live music, and wine tourism experiences. The fair, which attracts hundreds of visitors annually, seeks to highlight the work of Pyrenean wineries and promote a way of experiencing vineyards and landscapes based on proximity, sustainability, and quality.
“"Come to Talarn, discover Pallars, and taste our wines. This 14th edition of the Pyrenean Wine Fair is a project that is already part of Talarn's identity, the capital of Pyrenean wine."
The program features diverse offerings such as the Bombolles d’aquí i d’allà (Bubbles from here and there) tasting, comparing sparkling wines from the Pyrenees with those from other wine regions, led by sommelier Jordi Martínez. Visitors can also join the Descobreix Talarn a través del vi (Discover Talarn through wine) tour, visiting private cellars in the village while sampling Pyrenean wines and local tapas.
The fair will also include a tasting of the winning wines from the DO Costers del Segre Wine Competition and a pairing of artisanal Pyrenean cheeses with wines from the Xic’s Cal Borrech winery, in collaboration with the Artisanal Cheese Fair of La Seu d’Urgell. A unique activity will be the presentation-tasting of the ancestral Pirene grape variety, organized by Família Torres at the Sant Miquel estate, exploring the origins and potential of this recovered variety linked to the region's wine heritage.
On Saturday, June 13th, the Anna Maria Janer square will host the official opening of the fair, featuring Pyrenean wines, local gastronomy, and live music. The evening will include the Talarn Music Tasting, with performances by Eloi Fajardo DJ, Sara Roy, and Lasta Sanco.
