Teaching and labor staff from Pallars Jussà and Alta Ribagorça mobilized this Wednesday, February 11th, in Tremp to demand the dignification of the teaching profession.

The day of protest, called by unions including USTEC, CCOO, and UGT, gathered about 250 people in front of the Territorial Education Services. Protesters denounced the deadlock in negotiations with the Generalitat de Catalunya and demanded real progress on salary proposals.

Current mobilizations are not the sum of specific demands, but the surfacing of a series of structural problems.

Key demands include reducing student ratios and increasing resources for inclusive schools. While the Government links improvements to the approval of new budgets, unions are planning further strikes for March.
