The Tremp City Council launched a new series of vocational training courses and a direct hiring plan for six individuals this March to stimulate the local labor market in Pallars Jussà.

The municipal insertion office has designed a spring schedule combining social-health care with technical trades. This week, the elderly care course began under the direction of nurse Paula Zoe. The training focuses on providing students with tools to manage the aging process and the psychosocial needs of dependent individuals.
On the technical side, the Treball als Barris program will include practical workshops on wall rehabilitation, plumbing, and tiling. These actions are specifically aimed at individuals registered with the SOC (Catalan Employment Service) seeking to specialize in infrastructure maintenance.
Beyond education, the project includes the direct hiring of six workers. These new employees will join the municipal staff for seven months to perform maintenance tasks. The initiative is subsidized by the Spanish Government and the Generalitat de Catalunya.
