The Generalitat Firefighters performed two rescues in Pallars Jussà during Easter Week, assisting a woman with an ankle injury and an indisposed man, both evacuated by helicopter to hospitals.

Easter Week brought a large influx of visitors to the Pallars regions, resulting in intense activity for emergency services. Between Good Friday and Easter Monday, the Generalitat Firefighters intervened in a total of 42 rescues in natural environments across Catalonia, two of which took place in Pallars Jussà.
The first incident was reported on Good Friday at 12:23h, near Gramuntill, in the municipality of la Pobla de Segur. A woman suffered an ankle injury that prevented her from continuing her journey. For her evacuation, a rescue helicopter was mobilized with personnel from the Special Actions Support Group (GRAE) and a doctor from the Medical Emergency System (SEM), who transported her directly to the Hospital del Pallars.
Two days later, on Easter Sunday at 16:34h, rescue teams acted in the Mont-rebei gorge, in the municipality of Sant Esteve de la Sarga. On this occasion, they assisted an elderly man who felt unwell while hiking with his partner. The GRAE also extracted him by helicopter and transferred him to the hospital in Tremp.
Additionally, a third operation was recorded in a bordering area that also required the victim's transfer to a Pallars hospital. This occurred on Good Friday, the 3rd, at Agulla del Forat, in the Mont-rebei gorge, within the municipality of Àger (la Noguera). A man suffered an indisposition at 15:38h and was assisted and evacuated by the rescue helicopter.
Given the high mobility and favorable weather conditions during this Easter Week, the Firefighters had already reminded citizens about the importance of maintaining civility and safety when enjoying the natural environment, emphasizing the need to plan routes and be adequately equipped to avoid unnecessary risks, especially in the mountains.
