The La Pobla de Segur Library will close its doors at the current Avinguda Catalunya location on December 31 to begin transferring the collection to the new facility, which is scheduled to open in spring.

The opening of the new Library in La Pobla de Segur is approaching rapidly. With the necessary staff team now complete, the focus shifts to relocating and cataloging the existing bibliographic collection to the new premises, which are expected to be inaugurated in the spring.
Consequently, December 31 will be the last day the current library at Avinguda Catalunya number 2 is operational. Until this date, the public can use the lending, return, and study space services, albeit with adapted hours to facilitate the training of the new personnel.
Starting January 1, technicians will be exclusively dedicated to shelving all the volumes that will stock the new library and performing the necessary purging of titles that need to be removed from the catalog.
Regarding users, anyone with a borrowed book can return it via a temporarily enabled mailbox or, alternatively, return it to any other public library within the network. It should be noted that the interlibrary loan service will cease to be offered starting December 15.
