The city of Tremp is gearing up to host the Pallars Terra de Corder Fair 2026, a well-established event that will fill the town with activities over the weekend, combining tradition, local products, and cultural proposals.
The event, which expects an attendance of around 7,000 people, primarily aims to highlight the local sheep farming tradition and indigenous products. The fair's presentation took place a few days ago at the Diputació de Lleida, with the presence of representatives from the provincial body and the Tremp city council.

"It is a fair dedicated mainly to lamb and the livestock culture of Pallars, and the main objective is to promote lamb meat and local products, as well as to highlight the sheep farming tradition of the area."
For two days, the streets of the capital of Pallars Jussà will be bustling with activities. The fair market will open its doors from 10 AM, bringing together nearly sixty agri-food producers and artisans who will offer a wide range of local products.
Saturday will feature a culinary demonstration by a renowned chef, the Pallars Food Fest, a gastronomic and festive event culminating in a musical group's performance. The day will also include street shows and the presentation of the book Tremp, geological city.
Sunday's program will maintain the pace with activities for all ages, such as a classic vehicle exhibition, a parade of giants, and the traditional popular lunch, where lamb cooked 'al burduntzi' will be the main attraction. The closing ceremony will feature a sardana dance.

"The combination of gastronomic, cultural, and informative proposals, with activities such as culinary demonstrations, the fair market, or the traditional popular lunch, is one of the strong points."
Concurrently, throughout the weekend, visitors can see a display of lambs and participate in workshops and craft demonstrations in the artisan area. These activities are part of the celebration of Tremp's recognition as an Artisan Interest Point.
