The Catalan Association of Municipalities (ACM) has selected four pilot projects under the Arrelament al Territori program, two located in Pallars Sobirà, to strengthen citizen ties and boost rural areas.

The awarded projects, co-financed with 14,000 euros each, aim to promote sustainable development and social cohesion. The two projects in Pallars are the Intermunicipal Biomass Logistics Center and the heritage recovery of Gerri de la Sal, in Baix Pallars.
The Biomass Logistics Center is a joint effort by the municipalities of Alins, Esterri de Cardós, Llavorsí, and Vall de Cardós. This initiative plans to refurbish a disused warehouse to centralize the supply of wood chips that will feed municipal boilers, serving about a thousand inhabitants.

"Using biomass to advance towards energy sovereignty and provide opportunities for mountain territories is a country's commitment."

Regarding the project presented by the Baix Pallars Town Council, the goal is to develop a master plan and usage plan for the Alfolí de la Sal to turn it into a regional and national cultural reference space. Mayor Anna Sentinella explained that this will strengthen collective identity and attract initiatives that generate economic activity.
The other two projects awarded in this fourth edition of the Arrelament al Territori program, which received 23 proposals, are a mobility study for the municipal electric bus in Vall de Boí (l'Alta Ribagorça) and a cultural dynamization space in Saldes (el Berguedà).
