The children's area of the Public Library of Sort was the venue for the presentation of the book Egòlium: a journey through light (Excellence Editorial). This is the first work by master, writer, and magician Raül Giménez Panadero, featuring illustrations by David Guirao. The presentation took place in a conversation with renowned illustrator and writer Rosa Vilalta.

The book, aimed at children aged 9 and over, uses magic as a common thread to denounce how technology affects our emotions, particularly in children exposed to screens from a very young age. The protagonist, Max, serves as a warning about the consequences of losing emotions, a situation faced by the inhabitants of Egòlium.

Through metaphors, the visit of Max and a magical character named Light to the different worlds of their adventures exposes daily emotions, represented by colors and characters like the fun Gatzara. The author, Raül Giménez, aims to highlight the importance of emotions in life and invites readers to use their imagination to find answers in the book's open ending.

Soon, the book will be accompanied by a pedagogical guide for educators, expanding its educational reach.
