Located at an altitude of 1,350 meters, this facility has become a key meeting point for creators and researchers from around the world. Since its opening in 1996, the center has contributed to the demographic revitalization of Farrera, a town that has seen its population grow over the last few decades.
The project, which was born with the aim of importing an international residency model, stands out for being the only space in Catalonia that transversally integrates science and art. Its programming, which remains active throughout the year, fosters social cohesion and the participation of local residents.
The center's management emphasizes that its main mission is to bridge the gap between urban and rural worlds, betting on a cultural exchange model where the quality of the projects prevails over the participants' previous track record.
