The municipalities of Llavorsí and València d’Àneu celebrated the descent of the 'falles' on Saturday, a Pyrenean tradition that brought together dozens of participants of all ages.

In Llavorsí, the celebration marked its second edition since its establishment in 2024. Participants descended from the Burganàs viewpoint, following a trail that was rehabilitated two years ago.
In València d’Àneu, the festival has distinctive characteristics. The 'falles' must be birch or hazel trunks no longer than a meter, with two cross-shaped cuts at one end where wooden splinters are placed.

The next 'falles' in the Lleida Pyrenees will take place on Saturday the 4th in Alós d’Isil and Barruera, while on Saturday the 11th of July, those in La Guingueta d’Àneu and Erill la Vall will be held.
