The president of ERC, Oriol Junqueras, stated this Friday in la Seu d'Urgell that conditions are not yet met to negotiate the regional budget due to an outstanding agreement regarding IRPF (income tax) collection.

Junqueras emphasized that his party is eager to approve the accounts but requires the Socialists to fulfill previous commitments. He highlighted that he will work to secure all necessary resources for Catalonia, regardless of the budget's final outcome.

"It is clear that at this moment, unfortunately, the conditions to start a negotiation do not exist."
