The Cambuleta Cultural Association, in partnership with the Pallars Sobirà and Pallars Jussà County Councils, will distribute a Linguistic Morralet to all children born in 2026.

This initiative aims to protect Pallarès, a Catalan dialect currently facing a decline in usage. The kit includes a traditional bag containing a storybook, a double CD of local songs, and a bib featuring local vocabulary to encourage families to use the dialect at home.

"We must reverse the situation of Pallarès, which is being lost word by word, and recover it by teaching the little ones."

Carles Isus · President of the Pallars Sobirà County Council
Presented in Sort, the project is inspired by similar linguistic preservation efforts in other Catalan-speaking territories. Families can collect the gift at local town halls when registering their newborns, including those born in January and February.
