Pallars Sobirà Boosts Cycle Tourism with Five Viewpoint Upgrades

The Pallars Sobirà Regional Council has tendered a 154,000 euro project to adapt five viewpoints and observatories, aiming to boost cycle tourism and sustainable tourism in the region.

This initiative is part of the Bike Natura Aventura Pallars Sobirà program, which seeks to establish a regional cycling axis that harmonizes tourism development with the strict preservation of natural ecosystems. The investment also aims to de-seasonalize the influx of visitors to the area.
The interventions will focus on the viewpoints of Lo Coscoll in Montcortes (Baix Pallars), L'Orri in Soriguera, Estació de Llessui in Sort, Bogarri in La Guingueta d'Àneu, and La Vall d'Àneu in Alt Àneu. The main goal is for these infrastructures to allow visitors to enjoy the wildlife and landscape without disturbing animals in their natural habitat.
The project, with a total cost of 154,000 euros, is co-financed by the NextGeneration EU funds from the European Union, underscoring the commitment to sustainability and economic recovery through nature tourism.
